BANGUNAN SULTAN ABDUL SAMAD

Standing proudly along Jalan Raja in Kuala Lumpur, the Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad is one of Malaysia’s most recognisable landmarks. Built in 1897, this grand building once housed the offices of the British colonial administration and now serves as the home of Malaysia’s Ministry of Communications and Multimedia.

Its distinctive Moorish-inspired architecture, complete with elegant arches, copper domes, and a towering clock tower, makes it a timeless symbol of the city’s heritage. The building is especially striking at night when it is beautifully illuminated, and during Merdeka celebrations when it becomes the backdrop for parades and festivities.

From its historical significance to its breathtaking design, Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad is not just a building — it’s a chapter of Malaysia’s story, etched in brick and stone.
